Death by word

stricken
by
her own
gifting
repeatedly
the
poet’s
words
words
words
dripped
down
down
the
page
bled
the
words
until
the
very
last
and
by
the
lack
of
language
she
committed
poetic
s
u
i
c
i
d
e
around
tied         her
found         neck
were         her
words

Lord save me from myself
bend my will to yours
let not my own
words
be used
against me

susan, thank you I rarely write visual, and this one just sort of formed itself

ps...nothing to be in awe of, its just that foot in mouth syndrome that I am plagued with nowadays...sigh

Let loose the noose...
for it wraps too many of us
leaving us
to twist and turn
in sirocco winds

Oh, my! This is fantastic-I love the way the poem form mirrors the words you say.

I wish I could do that.

A way cool and powerful write.  Every poem I read by you is poetic brilliance...truly, if only I could write more like you.

Eliza, what a perfect comment…..thank you

pilgrimage,  a few poems just lend themselves to a form, it depends mostly I guess on the metaphor…I only have 4 ‘shaped’ poems out of about 500 that I have written…thank you

LilTai, thank you, am glad you enjoyed

Honeybee, what a nice compliment, I would never call myself poetically brilliant…*smile* but it was nice of you to

Wow.... I'll forgive you for not sending this one in email ONLY because the format is so spectacular!!! *S*

We all need a net at our mouths sometimes... that will bounce some utterances right back down our throats instead of releasing them.

Beautiful work, lady!

You conveyed your thoughts very well--both poetically and visually!

Warm hugs,
