Embrace Me

I feel alone in this world
that God has created.
Not alone from mankind.
Alone from God.
Is he allowing me
to suffer for my
foolishness, for
my own good?

Perhaps...

Not sure why I think
when things aren't
going my way that God
is not with me anymore.
Is he only supposed to
satisfy me?

I don't think so...

Is there a lesson to
be learned that I am
not embracing?

I think so...

God, from now on
I will try to
do my part.
I want to be
your friend.
Please embrace
me again.

Beautiful heart felt piece James.
I have to admit when I read the title
an old song popped into my head...
"Embrace me..my sweet embraceable you..."

Love the write.

Hi James....I don't believe God causes suffering...which is by our own hands...in thoughts actions and deeds, and when the pain becomes so ridden with guilt...for what we've done, that is when change take place....maybe....all in all the magic is...it's right there at our finger tips...all for the making...when we hurt as much if not more then those we hurt...if we can consciously feel that deep embedded pain....then, forgiven ness of self begins...forgiving others...allowing change to happen, realizing when we hurt others we hurt ourselves even more.  And in that the miracles begin to unfold....I'll shut up now.

Your writes are always filled with care...thank you for sharing..

God allows us free will, but He doesn't abandon us.  He's always within reach, even if it's only a whisper.  Enjoyed this much, James.  Good writing, sir!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

The trial and suffering don't destroy you...merely build you into the temple that you were meant to be...make you stronger in fact. Thanks for the read...reminded me to thank him for sensitive souls as yours.

Much love,
Jai

WOW I have asked myself THIS question numerous times.......
I feel alone in this world
that God has created.
Not alone from mankind.
Alone from God.
Is he allowing me
to suffer for my
foolishness, for
my own good?

GREAT READ!!!!!!!!!!!

This is beautiful, JM.  God never leaves you.  Most of the time it's us that turns from God.  I don't think God causes suffering and pain, I know he doesn't.  Satan himself causes all of that.  It's up to us to turn toward God when we're going through rough times.  He never leaves us.  If this world was without pain and suffering, sickness and loneliness...then we wouldn't look forward to going to heaven as much.  God's the one that provides the rainbows after the storms.  Look for the rainbows in everything.

James, what a good prayer for all of us to pray. But, I do believe that He never leaves or forsakes us. He just wants us to call on Him. He is always right there waiting for us to call.

I loved this poem, James. You showed us your heart. Thanks for that.
