I am swimming in a sea of words
Aspired to heavenly things
Presented in a feast
Dreaming I saw a man
Approaching
Which God gave humbly
Inspiring to love and do well
Of this life’s winning

Yet what fools we were
As he silently whispered good-bye

We were tinted with unknown images
And clashing surges…yet, given such
Soft, gentle delicate tones
Drifting lights upon the surface
A summer of deepest green
Epitaph of nature
In the calm of woodland life

Yet what fools we were
As he silently whispered good-bye

Where ambition walked with us
Melding with wandering mists of sea
Sweeping holiday mirth across our minds
In a land of harbored isles
There were no hours of day
As we leaped to welcome the light

Yet what fools we were
As he silently whispered good-bye

This poem is for Gemtop

he was a fool for leaving...and I a fool for believing...so we live and learn...going foward, hopefully a little wiser and better for the experience..but by God, I want to love like that again!

Oh look what i've just found. How shocked am i? in awe and appreciation. I have no words for you, but thankyou. from the bottom of my broken heart, lol.

This a soft echo of beauty found in pain. your words truly are filled with beauty, yearning and knowledge Lee. Oh this is haunting...but in an amazing comforting way. And these words apply equally to you, do they not? they were fools.

Thankyou friend. So so much.

I'm off now, to read this again.
