Las Flores

"A poem about flowers,"
she said.
"Flowers?"
"Yes, flowers..."
and all I could think about
was the rain
and a red cardinal
sitting
in a pine tree.

Oh yeah...this is wonderful...

"and all I could think about
was the rain
and a red cardinal
sitting
in a pine tree."

Love the simplicistic beauty...

Not really wandering in the mind at all.  Although it might appear that way at first glance.  It's really all metaphor.  Simple yes, but it has layers.  Thank you for the comments.  Appreciated.
