i find myself, scribblin on pinero's tenement skies
i write become realized,
for the bars and broken cookies jars on the floor of my block remind me
i still have to be chameleon
while i find solace in all you poets,
the dudes on my block with glocks that jam,
and the 22 shots that ringout and slam
will never let me ride as a poet if they new the flip side
of my shaved head and mad dog eyes.

feelings stack like bodies
haunting my days,
chasing my nights,
so i pull out my pen to give them last rights
and while my poetry can be insecure or compacted pain
I still stair at Pinero's tenemant sky.
Close my eyes,
and dream the day
Lico becomes Miguel
when my inside becomes my out,
when survival lies become obsolete
when i can stand on the street
and not have it rain hate
just downpour hope.

so dont get it twisted, when you read my verse,
respond, react, and critique it with no mercy
I need to grow, I learn as I go, just dont read
my souls feelings and not react, I always give back...
