where the wild flowers grow

The sky,
it owns us.
The clouds,
as gods above.
Keeping us
inside, dry and safe,
from the wrath of
water droplets.
And cloaked,
a city can become
small like we are.
Miniature carousel,
rain keeps us
spinning.
Disorderly, chaotic
winds.
Cold, calm our
throats so that we
may swallow
these
war clouds.
