Quitely I sit at an intersection
Watching the disgruntled drivers pass by
Even the most simplistic of smiles have been stricken from their faces
They all semm to be alone
Busily rushing from nowhere to nowhere
Their lives no different from that of a ant's life
Each face seems plagued with sorrow
Perplexed as to why they did not do things differently
Try as they might to drown these thoughts out
Nothing will ever truly make them subside
Each pair of eyes cross my path for at least a moment
Every glance feels the same, they look at me as if I am crazy
Simply because I sit here and write
I write the story of their lives
Sadly I only need a few words
To tell this sad tale

Thank you very much for reading my poem, I hope you enjoyed reading it, I would much appreciate any comments or critiques anyone might have it will be much appreciated and taken in good humour, thank you and have a lovely day.

Oh, I have done exactly what you focused on here....many times!!  A poet will find inspiration in moments around him/her, and I too have found it in the faces of people going to and fro in their busy lives.  Bravo, this is great insight, from the soul of a poet!!

Writers, especially, would pen something of this - for the ones with the sad faces simply do not have a pen in their hand, and if they did, chances are, they would be irritated at not being able to express their thoughts completely.

You asked how to make this better - and I will only suggest a spell check - as I almost went by this one because of a misspelled word - but saw that you were open to comment - and wanted to share that one little thing with you.  Thank you.

Thank you very much voe, what you say is quite true if only the whole world were able to capture their emotion, instead of bottling it behind their eyes.
Thank you sunshine, I just like to write raw so I do not always get the chance to doa speel check, but it is people like yourself that help people like me take notice of the simplest errors.
