Tell me why you sigh, he says.

How can I tell him
I sigh for the way things should be
But aren't.

That each sigh is just a dream
Dying.

How can I tell him
That each sigh I breathe
Is a tear turned inside out.

How do I say
Its each glance at the clock
Sitting alone.

How can a sigh
Be a half empty bed?

Tell me whay you sigh, he says.

Paula, I'm sorry if this is a reflection of your reality, but if it is, something great came out of it--this poem!

"How can I tell him
That each sigh I breathe
Is a tear turned inside out."

I'm never going to forget your words... or you because of them!

Luvs 'n hugs,
EA

Love the title...sighs always turn into smiles at the appropriate time...don't they...James

Paula...this just aches...

"How can I tell him
That each sigh I breathe
Is a tear turned inside out."

"How can a sigh
Be a half empty bed?"

Gawd...I felt this one...every word.
Hugs to you, friend,
~Vicky

you have not truly met the poet.
