Ocean's Call

Foreign land my feet reside
On waters of ocean blue
Gazing upon horizon's crest
Far away an island of a past

Waves of sounds so near
Tears wanting to feel less far
Seek I no glory or fame in this land unknown
Child I lost as flight took me to parents home

Tis' mine that sweet smell of cane
I'd give my all to embrace you again
Land of my dreams, my youth, my pain
Regardless, you opened my heart and soul

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Your native land is forever a part of your soul, and cannot be forgotten. I enjoyed the thoughts within thoughts, as I am also on foreign land...thank you for sharing
