The explosions of fireworks in the sky
and the bonfire heat on your cheek.
Rockport. Crowds. The fourth of July.
Crammed together. Too loud to speak.

People. Prizes. Festivities. Lights.
And the marching music playing for hours.
Orange moon softly pulling the tides.
There was no seclusion for lovers.

But once the darkness veiled the coast,
on the beach, where the sand was still hot.
we made love, with our ankles exposed,
while mosquitoes were drinking our blood.

I like the view. And the reality of the mosquitoes.

O.o... That was weird..But uh...it gave me imagery. You used some good description. You use a more physical approach...something that I seem to be less prone to. Not that I really know..., but try other approaches..don't just say the way you made love or the light...say how it personally made YOU feel.
