Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-07-12 10:46 PM

“You cleaned out your closet
and got organized.  That’s what I like,
Grandma…organization.”

For being just eleven,
sometimes I have to remember
she is still a child
and not really an old soul in a small, petite body,

so, orderliness must skip
generations…

for I want to take charge of more
than my shelves
and files

I want to systematize my brain
of their thoughts, which ramble and sputter,
although someone recently said,

"This is quite miraculous, you know. The way your thoughts flow like this."

Flow?

Spitter, perhaps, like flat rocks thrown across
a placid lake, only to kerplunk
when gravity holds hard, then pulls,

leaving a barely glimpsed, albeit brief insight,
then
out of sight
below blue ripples
thoughts hidden again, now obscure

below a moon-path’s surface,
a silent dare to jump in
to where the drowning words still float

so, no more charge
of my affairs
on the outside of controlled

for my thoughts shall remain
rippled and soaked, and strictly chaotic
in their final saturation

And that is a good thing!

Smiling at you.

Ah yes...agreeing with Patricia.
A very good friend has recently reminded
me that that IS a very good thing.
Enjoyed this one, Karilea.
Hugs to you,

you have not truly met the poet.

Karilea sunshine I love your words.

below a moon-path’s surface,
a silent dare to jump in
to where the drowning words still float

Wow!

A sensational write Karilea...
It is always amazing to me how we find ourselves standing outside the pool...and what we want is to jump into the very middle.

gush chaotic then
thoughts aught
not
rummage around
in dusty attics
but touch
acoustic
cahoots

Don't tell me to get a life -- I have one on backorder.

Sunshine:
first of all - I find it hard to believe you are a grandma - though you have the heart, you do not have the appearance

also being an organizational freak - I too hate how my brain works

--------------------------------------------
I want to systematize my brain
of their thoughts, which ramble and sputter,

excellent write karilea
I loved it and look forward to more
