I forgot the crisp
of sheets curling
over and under flesh
as you slept
and I was sleepless.

not sure what to say to this one. I've run out of sarcastic comments or not cheer up Gumdrop, but keep writing all the good stuff. It makes my day

Awww....Gem...it's ok to be sad.
It is a channel to greater creativity and higher love. As you know....and show with these beautiful words.

A left a little message for you under your reply to my last poem.
Thanks!

You've said much here, and even with few words, this is poignant. And I relate to the love/hate contradictions of memories, how they are so beautiful, yet torture us so.

(btw Raph referred me to your poetry, he's a big fan and I have a feeling that I'll be one too   )
