A hole in your chest smokes
as you lie in a pool on the ground
red is not your favourite colour
but you wear it well today
of course you knew it would come
you've heard the shots ring out
you've heard the ricochet
but you never thought the bullet
would come through friendly fire

This one gave me the shivers, it did.

Hmmm.  This can be taken many ways, Aenimal.  So, I will personalize it in my mind...if that's alright with you.  You have a great mind!

An ugly truth here, written with strength and sadness.

Sighs...I'm gonna be unoriginal and say DAMN!
I'm having one of those days too.

It is a simple truth of combat; it is a painful complicated truth of life.  As always, you mix ideas with great skill.  As always, I am taken with the brilliance of your work.  Thank you, Sir.
