The Scarlet J

The briuses on my arms
Are the red 'J' on my shirt
I need to find a better way
Of dealing with my hurt

My whole being just shakes
My whole body it just longs
I need to find a way to break
Free of it's icy throngs

I can help my own self
Is a reassuring lie
It has become my sad mantra
Heard under my sad sigh

Just take it right away
Though I will beg for it back
There is no hope with any dope
Especially not smack

Though I have accpted
Hopelessness for what it is
What sort of example is set
For these new hopeless kids

*hugs* good luck, I truly hope it goes well for you. I know how hard it can be to kick something like that. *hugs* again

I enjoyed this. It illustrates the hopelessness. How can you handle addiction, when you couldn't handle life without it? It's a tough thing.
