where the wild flowers grow

The picture seems so dull, dreary
in my frame of mind.
Fabricated fairytales
to lull us into sleep.
You whispered, kiss on my forehead..
Your caress lies where all of my
good memories are kept.

When the sky is overtaken
by rainclouds,
tip-tap on my window I
remember you..
Telling me not to fear thunder,
for lightning is far worse,
though silent.
Was it you that held me?
Warmth, no blanket of stars could
match yours.
I weep on that bed where I hover,
grasping onto
the picture.

I can't wallow in this town,
ghostly rays of light attach to my
sunglasses.
The morning is poison on my
skin and I wait for today
to begin again.

The picture just
doesn't fit in my frame
of mind.

Hey Meg, I loved the way this all fit together perfectly. I have trouble doing that sometimes.

If art is still inside, I feel it
