Me and my Shadow

I see my shadow t’was born with me
A spore that caught reality
A vessel launched that cuts a wake
That steers a course make no mistake.

Through the dark of night and gale
This ship will cut a wake and sail
Out of sight of land it seems
With a compliment of dreams

This is the course of common core
Some with less and some with more
A blow upon the sand dooms rhyme
Brought by the hand of changing time

Beware the curse of diadem
With treasured gold and colored gem
They are but shackles of the mind
Quick sand on the path of find

Each ship will stop and renew
Such is the lean and change of brew.

Wonderful morning read here Sy!
And, I'n popping it into my library
to read once again when my eyes
are fully open!
A good cup of hot tea is what we need...
I'll pour.

'morning Seymour. It's good to see you today.
I enjoyed seeing your shadow in your rhymes today, too.
I hope that you have a good one.

Enjoyed your poem and remembered when we played as children trying to catch the shadow .... embracing it by laying down was the only way to "grasp" it.
Love, have a beautiful week-end.... hopefully you may see your shadow!!!
