simple pain
simplicity
the things
I simply
can't let be
beat-drum-beat
within the mind
the things
I've always
dragged behind
ragged teddy bear-o-mine--

I concede myself to sleep.

solace for
the simpleton
to simply claim
the things I won
as if I had the ticketry
as if I'd won the lottery
dreaming of the velveteen
and pounding pillows into dream...

I concede myself awake.

I offer you
this simple wish
a night of peaceful
pleasant dreams
released from screams
of nightmares past
in teddy's reassuring grasp
while head in softest pillow lay
till coming of the day...

I bid thee sleep

You concede, I start reading a book and I fall asleep, fast...I have a fantastic dream and I wake up before the really good part.
I gave my girlfriend a little teddy bear last Sunday...it was funny, I told her to close her eyes and hold out her hand, and when I put it in her hand she screamed and dropped it on the floor,  she said she thought it was a mouse...what a way for a poor little teddy bear to start his life...James

Serenity~~~I didn't know witches had to sleep.I was up all night also and now I have to be up all day.I hope you aren't getting flooded out by what I seen on T.V. last night. I think they need to change the name of the city from New Orleans to Aqua City.
Take Care...Paul

Id give my moth wings for a lullaby ...
one to lay sleep softly behind your eyes.
One that would rock you gently to sleep ...
with cadenced caress of serenity's keep.

A song to carry you through the night ...
harmonies to hold you till the mornings light.
Melodies that make the dreams of dread cease ...
a chorus of content to grant you peace.

All this I ask of the angels to sing ...
for one of wing ... it seems but a little thing.

I slept in and missed all the fun....
Many a mid-night have I spent "pounding pillows into dream..." You described it well.

I truly understand...I sleep so light I can direct my dreams, and am aware I am dreaming...but then most times I simply do not sleep
