where the wild flowers grow

If you
grasp my arm I'll
  only turn away.

Pity, I lift my eyes only
  to look in
a different direction.

I want
something sugar coated..
Ice topples over
spilling my lips,
anemia....

You're just so
    sweet..
But I'm so
         tired,
so tired of this bladed
engagement in which we
slay eachother's words with
serrated swords of tongue.
Rusted blade,
crimson -
Arguement,
I watch the rain
pour
over
my composure.

My ignorance has been such
a cliche, to me,
it helped in my
turning
away.

This write cut deep.
I applaud the realism of it, put to words so well.  TD

I know exactly what you mean.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.
