My hand I hold
to the harsh wind
raising arm to sky
palm open
raindrops falling freely
I smile
and release from my palm
the bird to flight

I have done this countless times myself! Literally and figuratively! (Mind you, there was not a literal bird!)

may i be the bird you caress
and feel your healing touch?
i will thereafter love you eternally
if but for a moment to fly as such

Reminds me of course, of Noah--releasing the dove.

(If you get a chance to watch the movie again, during this particular scene, I SWEAR it sounds like the actor (I forget who) says, "Go FOR IT." chuckle. (He said "Go FORTH" of course.)

Either way Sue? It's good advice.

.... and your little wings spread and soar high .... to raise our arms towards the sky is one of the most beautiful gestures ... we point to the Source.
Beautiful poem ... releasing peace.
