~*Serenity's Gift*~ Words from pen to parchment fall Spirits scream and demons call Ink in flowing - harsh wind blowing Through a vacant chamber hall All is lost and nothing less Since the moment of confess Lonely crying - hope is dying Hollowed heart seeks last caress Out from yonder blackened sea Knowing voice sets spirit free Humble kneeling - prayer of healing Granted gift...Serenity ~vlraynes Thank you, Karen. "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truly met the poet. ~vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (07-10-2003 07:27 PM).] |

You know...it's just not poetry that we learn about, here in Passions. We learn how to express emotions from extreme gladness...to rampant sadness. We learn it's OK to give a voice to sorrow - and grief. We learn to modulate our zealousness...and spike our lethargy. I know, I KNOW we're not therapists, counselors, or experts thereof...but through our poetry...gads, we grow. Sorry, dear...but you just didn't thank Serenity...you thanked a whole passel of people who helped you, and the rest of us, find our voice through poetry! |

Vicky, this is such a beautiful gift you have given to Karen...and you gave it to us also, in the process. Thank you both for being such sweet people. Heart hugs Ethel [This message has been edited by garysgirl (07-10-2003 11:44 PM).] |

Well Vicky's poem is beautiful, and I agree that Serenity is a gift (depending on the day) If art is still inside, I feel it |
