Misty Dreams

A dream comes floating on mists
of
silver gray and foggy white.
Tantalizing, touching,
covering you with fingers
of
fantasy.
The words
of
the dream run in and out
of reality,
with
shades and smiles that entice,
willing you to awake and remember.
A woman with shimmering hair,
the color of honey,
beckons to you
to follow.
Her dress of chiffon
slipping down slender limbs
sliding over tender mounds
of
delicate secrecy.
Tiny straps
criss crossing
over a creamy,
pulsating throat
while draping down
a cool and delicate spine.
You taste the
swirling mist and feel
the dampness
of
the chilling meadow
of
calming green.
You hear her words
calling
from far away.
Your mind is saying awake
so you can remember and capture
these elusive words
with paper and pen.
When the sun touches your face
with gentle kindness.
You open your eyes
hoping you will remember
the words
of
this beauty that is buried
in your nighttime
Misty Dreams.
