The winds blow hot
on life’s window, turning streaks
of dew to dusty rivers.

Rustling dry leaves in swirls upon
the parched earth, swirling, whirling
as uncertainty rolls the tumbleweeds
tumble....

In the distance,   rolling thunder jumps
the cloud laden sky as determination falls
onto the earth in tear born droplets.

Will the winds change from gusty hot,
parching the skin of a smile gone?  Can
the prints of man in wearied walk
remain unwavering across the dunes of
turbulent time?

Sands sift the hourglass of wait as the
set of jowl gnashes.    And worries wane
the setting sun upon the soul wrenching
sigh of day’s end

Until tomorrow’s knell upon the bell
of life’s trials..

Yes.  All I can think of is: "All things are possible through He who strengthens me."  Several Bible verses (although I cannot quote word for word) come to mind in response to this verse.  One is my favorite...it is Matthew..."Do Not Worry"-"Who by worry can add one more day to his life."

Now, I may have misinterpreted this piece to the point that these verses are not applicable.  However, after my fifth read, I still had the same feeling.  So, please forgive me.

Lovely verse...your images are spectacular.

Patricia
P.S. Barry, I sent you an e-mail...I'd really like your opinion on a verse.  If you get the chance. Thanks!

Magnus...I like this poem for many reasons; but I think this speaks so honestly of what each one of us face. Time is no respecter of persons. It just seems to keep rolling on; taking with it some little piece of ourselves. Great poem though, Magnus. TRULY-
