"Let's go..."
I raise my palms to you.
This is not the supplicant.
There are no wounds
there is no blood--
I am NOT the sycophant.

You need an enemy, I see.
I'm great in that capacity.
Just ask the selves that I once was--
buried where they ought to be.

Take my words, for I have more.
Take my heart, it pumps like whore.
Take the lifeblood from my neck.
I am NOT the sycophant.

Six feet under? I am not.
Where I live the graves will rot
as gases gather in the mud
and caskets pop the grass in flood.

"Do it." I stand in defy.
"Do it." I've already died.

Karen:

damnnnnnnnnnnnnn . . .
this is just what I needed to read today indeed . . .
God this is brilliant
*shaking head*
feel the anger in this one I do
*nodding* at selves and your line about your heart - God there are so many lines here I want to just climb atop the biggest mountain I can find and scream it out loud until my voice is hoarse
xxoo

When you open up, all kinda strange and powerful stuff comes up from the bowels of hell!--and it makes for fascinatin' readin'!

Sending you LOTS of LIGHT! LOL

Serenity~~~ Did you learn to write like that in school, or is it just that Cajun fire oooozing from your dark eyes?
Yanno... I could have just said hello, but that wouldn't quite catch your attention and thats what I want your attention.
Glad to read you again...Paul

Heh, heh?

Wouldya believe I had a bad day?

OR...

It's hormones.

OR...

The dreaded comanche blood was boiling?

sigh.

I think I aggravated my ulcer.

Thanks for reading, good people. I think I'll go put an icepack on my head. Maybe that vein in my forehead will quit doing the rumba.

sigh. You guys can all come out. This little footstomp wasn't directed at any of YOU.

Peace to poetryland.

(AND? Hey Paulie! Miss you and it's good to see you are home!)

This is good to know; good enemies are hard to find.

Strong poem.

I've seen those coffins rise up in the floods.

Your Rx:
stomp three times
turn around
get that ice pack on yer head
then call me in the morning

Hey Doc Kacy! laughing now, thank you, I think that's an Rx I'm allowed to get filled!

And yep, folks, really was just another day in paradise.

I will survive. (and I promise to NOT sing that. )

Love to ALL.
