For: Sunshine, Suthern, and Jellybeans
Thanks for your words of faith, hope, and happiness.
Here's to you:

Her Smile 'n Wink

Stumbling amongst summer’s weeds too long
Moaning, groaning sad “pity me” song
Itching ‘n scratching in knee high field
Sour notes out of tune my only yield

Searching for lyrics of solstice fair
Musings comfort unfound in sky’s glare
‘Til morning’s warm rays, her smile ‘n wink
Shouted c’mon girl, I got your link

Then it clicked, poet guiding my way
Verses dancing, prancing swan's ballet
Humming in my ears soft summer sighs
With syllables, sounds, I find I rise

Stepping lightly through weeds' breathless sway
Yielding easy my soul finds its way
Dear journey I walk with poet friends
Wonder if she knew when she clicked send?

I thought I'd finished here tonight... wasn't quite sure why I peeked back in... but dear lady... what a smile you've given to end my day... I thank you so much! *S*

To know words touched is a poet's pay... This gift truly humbles me... and to be in such company? *S* I thank you... from a grateful heart.

What an enchanting poem and just a lovely way to say you care to friends.  I doubt that she knew this would happen when she pushed send, but I am sure she's glad it did.

You've a da-DUM
that I don't have...
so free verse
of flow is all you'll see
but look what
you've sparked, here
in the blue...
for everyone...and me!

LOL...

You having fun yet?

am so glad you find inspiration in my words, and yep I know I am still quoting suthern lol, but yes, to know that your words touch another poet is a great feeling, I used to write about all the darkness in me, until I found the Light, and now I try to spread it *smile*...so happy to help you find some Sunshine

Patricia,  a very excellent start toward
your rhyming goal.  A couple of small meter
bumps,  but overall....Ya done good!!!

Don't feel bad at all ...   Even the great
Sunshine fumbles with meter from time to
time,  and she will admit it...
