I've had some requests via email and through replies to post a love poem........
This is an oldie, though slightly re-written.

Soulmate of My Heart

Many lifetimes ago
upon the sands of time,
our souls awoke
to God's laughter
and sailed the heavenly breeze of love.
Hand in hand,
our spirits danced the warmth of wings,
and as God smiled
and breathed his joy,
we became one,
a love story from the sigh of God;
knowing that one day
we shall meet again on earth.
And in that moment
destiny shall become ours.

For, my eyes need not see you now
to know that you exist,
my heart already knows.

Beautiful words Melissa, one suggestion though I think a better title would be Heart's Soulmate..just to tighten it up a bit. Either way lovely words find time to believe in them again

So beautiful, Melissa...both in thought and in verse.

Sweetly written and full of promise..

and Mike, if I may... sigh.. maybe it wasn't meant to be this time around, you think?  I wish I knew the answer to that question myself.. so very much, right now..

but this is truly a lovely write and enjoyed it so much
