The slash and burn technique
by a person you thought you knew

I crossed out everything until all that was left was the color grey.

and still,
you don't see

that I have blood on my hands.

the trees see all,
they look
as you
slash-
and burn

and I am left waiting,
when the color red is caught between branches.

so I crossed out everything- but..

the color
grey

I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war,
If you can tell me something worth fighting for

For such a young person...
you have such an old soul.

This is excellent writing, Liz.

you don't see

that I have blood on my hands.

haha, now I'm a mind-reader? It's strange that so many people can relate to me when only my dreams relate to this   and I'm being quoted

ice or wind? I've narrowed it down to two can I be both?

This is beyond raw writing...Gawd I just don't know what to say except that for your age you write the dark beyond your years.

You write with wisdom, Wind.

The slash and burn technique of agriculture is inherent in traditions of "craft"--Imbolc, to be exact.

as I suspect you already know.

But I leave you with both applause and a link:

and? I don't have to tell you, Little Miss Wisdom, to think in metaphor.

You already do.

ser- that article was very interesting. Yes, I knew about slash and burn agriculture- I just found myself wondering what it would really be like to be there and see it happening- to someone else thanks
