Frogs need Queens

I took to me a lady frog
That turned into an analogue
The spirit of my life and goal
The culmination of my soul

It brought to me a sense of light
Balanced on a scale of right
Gave me reason to persist
And a reason to exist

I still do not believe in God
But do believe this earth and sod
And in the sun that bakes my bones
And all that lived beneath their stones

We walk a single course of blind
A course of body and of mind
And what will happen to each rhyme
Is in the epoch of our time.

I’ll kneel with you to sanity
And to our own humanity

Trust me Stinky ... you're no frog ...
in the wheels of life ... you're a cog.
In the land of poets ... you're a king ...
here your rhyme scheme dreams mean everything.

Here we build you thrones of glittering gold ...
and wonder your words of wisdom & secrets untold.
Here we worship your cadenced chapter and verse ...
as you slow time's curse with infinities reverse.

And I am grateful to be one of your many queen's consort ...
here where each day you hold poetic court.

Sy, It has taken me all day to respond to this wonderfully written and meaningful poem.

I got so much from it, probably having nothing to do with what you intended when you wrote it. The whole day I kept coming back to read and re-read. I cried and laughed and pondered.

Thank you dear man and I'm sorry I missed tea. But I got a whole lot more thanks to Frogs and Queens.

Hugs ...
