Doctors
do---oc---torsssss
doctors offices
doctors of----fiii----ces
doctors offices

The waiting room
room
waiting          rooo---mah
wa---itttttt--ing     rooo--mah
It is a  WAIT-ing room

What good are appointments when a person is there?
Because she goes to the
WAIT-ing  rooo-mah
and waits
           and waits
                       and
                            WAIIITTTT-SSSSSSS!!!!
in the waiting room of the doctor's office

Then....
they call her and she goes to the other room
examine--ing room
the e--xammmm-ining  room
she goes to the examining room
to wait
         to waaaaa-itttt

Then the doctor comes in and says
we need to do an x-ray
x-ray
X-AH-RAY

And she thinks
waaaaaaiiiiiittttt again
wait again
           wait again
and she does!!!!

This is what I actually experienced in the doctor's office today.

I'm sorry for your experience, but you expressed it well here.

Maybe the next visit will be better.

this is excellent, and hilarious. you picked the perfect subject to use this style on Ethel Mae, it's really effective. the looooong waiiiiiits. it's just so fitting. you really do make me smile at how you can make everything you do great.

This is so going into my library as another reminder of one of the many ways your poetry blooms into so many different styles. proud of ya gal.

I feel your pain. I once had to wait 2HOURS in the "examining room" I was like, can we go home now? I feel better now. Is this the new "Ethel style?" I like it on you, but I might laugh too much.

What really bugs me is they demand that you are there 15 minutes before your appointment time.

(big hugggsssssss) That's the problem with doctors today, they are only going 75% speed when they could be going 100%! (sad sigh) Walter Peyton died because he was signed as someone to get a transplant, but he never got it after waiting over five years! A friend of mine died because the doctor wasn't taking her job seriously and saying "Please wait, we'll hear nback from you shortly!" (wipes tears) You speak of this truth so well, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
