Art appreciation comes calling dressed in horse feathers

As The Worm, while in pontific pose
was explaining how
he always incorporated a bit of himself
into every painting

Pointing out, with a still laden brush
those parts that that best illustrated
his heart and his humanity

Dogboy wondered aloud
Just when he would get around
to painting women without clothing
“Something a lot less…You”
“And decidedly more human”

(Iggy, stood before the canvas, chin in hand
and asked quite earnestly
“So? That’s not a horsey?)

I smile when I don't know what to say..sorry I'm not good at this comment thing...all I have for you is a smile and an "enjoyed"

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

An interesting poem.  I had my own visual though.  "Horse feathers" are the thin wispy strips that used to be cut from cedar boards to turn the boards into clapboards for siding a house.  They were scrap but found many uses in the early american building trades.  Mostly as shins to make hand cut lumber line up.

I don't know why they were called horse feathers just that they were.  Perhaps because in a pinch they were used on the floors of temporary horse stalls instead of hay.

Still a very interesting poem.

OH my.

smiling wicked here--wondering who has the "spot"?

You are writing the trinity, Ish.

I stay tuned, rapt attention, for another exciting episode.

You write the inner workings with grace and humor.
