Blossoms falling:
Shook by wind
They salt
The spring air rose.
Almost white,
Confetti thrown,
Dropping from tree top height.
*
Drifting, blowing
Warm air lifting;
Soft as late snowflakes
They pass
Before my eyes
To nestle,
Melting, swiftly
Hiding in the grass.
*
A Bunting lights the highest branch,
Petal showers fall below.
A tuft of down escapes its breast,
(Aloft in breeze, it joins the flakes)
Blends rose and white, with indigo.
*
end
