Please Don’t Speak
Emma’s Hen Night

Please don’t speak too loud near me
If you must talk then do so very softly
This morning I feel just a little rough
And I can’t remember quite enough
But last night isn’t at all quite clear
It started when I was on my fifth beer
Emma had her hen night last night
And oh this morning is not a delight

Please if you’re speaking whisper to me
Whatever you do please do it gently
My head aches so much I think I’ll die
And every breath is a tortured sigh
I don’t recall very much for sure
And I wish I’d remember a whole lot more
Like where did Emma get to after three?
And why oh why didn’t she take me?

Please don’t shout quite so much at me
My head needs to be treated delicately
I admit I had too much sauce last night
But it really was Emma’s hen night
She did have a good time I think?
But I don’t remember pass that fifth drink
And although I’m almost sure I was good
I don’t remember all that I should

Please leave me alone to die quietly
When you go please do it very softly
Don’t bang the door on your way out
And if you love me please don’t shout
I’m really not feeling very well you know
So go softly and keep your voice quite low
I’ve heard that Emma is feeling just fine
And I wish that her head felt like mine

Please don’t pester me just leave me be
I just might live if you don’t speak to me

Oh sweetie, you made me smile quite broadly upon reading this.. but I too am creeping around very, very quietly and leaving the shades.. dark is the ticket, love...

and when you're good, you're very, very good, but when you're bad (and I mean bad to your head) .. you're pretty good too!!! lol

How soft and beautiful. You've calmed me down. A little.

I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war,
If you can tell me something worth fighting for

Sounds like you had fun, though.  You just need a cheeseburger and a shot of Jack, then you'll be fine.  ;-)

I was planning on being a pal and slip out wearing a very big but quiet grin... but since Marge has already blasted you awake... ROFLMAO!!!

I know, I know... it's mean to laugh at your discomfort... but I never claimed to be perfect... and I wasn't invited to the party! LOL

Enjoyed the poem... much more than you're enjoying today. *bratty grin*
