She's staring back at me
with those eyes
Baby blue's piercing through my dreams
Piercing through my soul
Grasping onto my heart
Cradling back and forth
In the dark recesses
Of my mind
I want to reach her
I want to hold her
I'm sorry
Baby I'm sorry
I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to make you cry
Let me hold you
Let me love you
Just please
Please...
forgive me
I love you
I never meant to bring you down
Never meant to have you believe
In the things I've said
They've said
I'm sorry I never protected you..
She's staring at me
with those eyes
Baby
Let me love you
While I try to love myself

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Agony in this, and you bring it out so strongly, with such burning passion....

The only proper response to this poem is to go back and read it again -- aloud.

This is so poignant in your honesty--so brave to write yourself inside out--

Just hugs, dear lady.

you just floored me.

Heart to heart dialogue with your inner child, powerful write.
May we never lose contact with our own innocence!
Very beautiful.

Very well done! We neglect our inner child more than we realize. I wonder why that is? Enjoyed. Chris
