Oh Mr. Publisher

(for my beloved Keth)

Oh Mr. Publisher
Did you read my book?
Please Mr. Publisher
Come and take a look
I worked really hard on it
And it’s a spiffing tale
Adventures and so on
Please read it without fail

Oh Mr. Publisher
Don’t be hard on me
Please Mr. Publisher
Listen to my plea
Tell me did you read it?
Wasn’t it very good?
All about the trials
Of living as we should

Oh Mr. Publisher
What are you waiting for?
Please Mr. Publisher
Don’t throw me out your door
Why not read a little?
Just a page or two
Tell me what you think
And I won’t pester you

Oh Mr. Publisher
I’m not asking very much
Please Mr. Publisher
Don’t be out of touch
The public will love it
They’ll all buy it for sure
It will be a winner
And I’ve got plenty more

Oh Mr. Publisher
Won’t you read my book?
Please Mr. Publisher
Just take a little look
I promise if you read it
I’ll leave you quite alone
I won’t bang on your door
Or pester you on the phone

Please Mr. Publisher now listen close to me
If you read my book we’ll get on famously

Marsha

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Very nice...I definately think if there was a publisher out there that wanted to publish some poetry or prose he would have to look no farther than this site...hope good things happen for you...and all that wish to be published...James

Mr. Publisher
Don't pass this by
For if you do
You soon will cry
Sheer excellence
Is in every line
Give me a chance
And we'll do fine!

Any publisher who doesn't jump at the chance to read her work is definitely the loser...

I like this very much, Mushy... and hope she finds acceptance immediately... we need a best selling author... she can visit more often! *S*

Good luck on getting a publisher to listen. It happens with not only books but poetry too, they don't even read it, just send it back to you! Great write!
