On this latest day
filled with your silence
I know denying reality will
never bridge distances
that are measured in time.

There can be no peace
found in solitude,
unless in your time spent there
you realize home
will never include me.

On this side of silence,
I cut my day into tiny pieces
and promise myself
there is still hope
where no words are spoken.

Does the memory of loving me
leave you with more to be desired?
We could never have imagined
falling in love with each other,
nor the taste of mingling lips

Manna you once said, and magic
wondering if you had found the words
never having felt that way before.
Now I lie awake
alone in this silence.
For even my angels are asleep.

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

Jamie, I can really feel the hurt in this one. Hope things are better now.

Ah yes, the silence can be deafening.

A very emotional read.

Jamie,

You've expressed your emotions well here.  I only hope that the silence for you will soon end.

Even in a sad moment, it's really nice to see you again, Jamie.
But I'm so sorry.

This is beautiful, even though it's sad.  Even the angels sleep...  that's a powerful line.  I hope the silence ends soon.

you write my heart with that one poet sir.

Does the memory of loving me
leave you with more to be desired?
We could never have imagined
falling in love with each other,
nor the taste of mingling lips

and that verse too....
this is a bittersweet beauty Jamie, the emotions rise off the page and beg to be touched in validation.
superb writing...tis always a pleasure to read your poetic thoughts.

Well ... OK ... but you have to wash it first.

I'd quote my favourite lines...but I'd have to quote the entire poem.  You leave me speechless, this is achingly beautiful.  I'm saving this~
