Today I was talking,to a friend of a friend
who showed genuine interest in what I was saying,
about my passion in poetry that cannot compare.

Dropping your names, while holding onto your handle
and the indirect communication that draws me to you
fulfilling the void in my virtual world,

Taking a moment, absorbed in the view
as I beamed and I basked
in the verses we've shared.

Forever grateful I am for my family of friends
and the difference you make
everyday of my life.

Thank you Jason and Ethel for letting me know that I have.  I'm tired tonight, and that is the nicest thought to sleep on.

See, see, that's the difference I was writing about!!!

Amen to that.... it's in the background all the time, the knowledge that there are folks like you here who know me and appreciate a part of me that the world mostly does not....yes, a huge difference!

it's good to have somewhere to go where there are others who know you and love you

Lori, this is a great place, and you're a part of making it that way

Oh, you are such a precious sweetheart and YOU, my dear, give sooooo much in return! We all love you and appreciate all the fine poetry that you share with us--and the caring and thoughtful replies you make to our poems. You are very special--and this poem from your heart--just adds to your "specialness"!

Loves 'n hugs,
Linda

Your name gets dropped too... *S* You do know that, right? *S*

In most situations, I show pieces of myself... here... heart is on display each time a poem is posted. *S*

I like this very much, Blues. *S*

I only came here because of you.  You found me on the second web site I had tried for posting poems; I was about ready to go back to throwing them away.  My appreciation for your gift grows daily.

You see, I used to write poems, tinker with them until I was satisfied and then I really did throw them away - sometimes I burned them, but that was something completely different; until I tried the web, I had only known one person who ever had any interest in reading them.  That person died decades ago.  I have learned here that giving poetry away is better than throwing away.

Here, I not only feel accepted as a poet, but I also have read some truly amazing poetry.  Perspectives and imagery, skills and styles I had never considered.

So...thank you.

Ed~ You have said it better than I ever could...
thank you for your poetic offerings,  and for giving so much back to me
indirectly~

We're in this together, every one of us.
And you are such a sweetie, Dixie darlin'~

Good evening Duncan~  yep yep, I was talking about you too, and how blonde you are.
Hugs to my favorite green guy!

Patricia~  Thank you, that's my whole point, it's nice to belong~

Happy fourth to you too.  Thanks Seymour~

Oh Linda~ You are such a warm smile, and I thank you for always coming back to read me.

Maureen~ It's understandable, if those that call you crazy have never logged on...I've been called worse.     But we know better, right?  hugs you, hope you had a happy fourth.

BC~     Big hugs, and thank you.

Suthern~ I like to think those little pieces we give away are just one of our many true colors.  You warm my heart, like a mint julep soothes my soul.
Thank you suthern gal~

icebox~  Your reply made me cry, thanks alot!!!  I knew you had a lot to give,
you just needed the right audience to appreciate you.  I am forever
grateful that you are here and I am honored that I, of all people, played
at part in it.  Thank you again for your nice reply, it pleases more than you know.
