Life stands motionless in the hurry of wait upon
the deserted corner of time.  Bean counters
scurrying to the nine, awaiting the five before
the six o’clock news arrives as dinner thumps
the three course meal.

Glued to the repeat of twelve, hearing the
eleven at seven, worrying about the five
in the A of M.  Telling of the scrub at eight,
followed by the bed by ten and the snore
at  half past who knows.

Lost in the tangle of seven, as the second
mill. takes  grasp of the third three, six and five
where nine is gestation and six is premature.

Five again as the clink of eight o’clock beans
ground fresh at two assaults the morning senses
before the dash at eight scurries toward the nine again..
In wait of the five.

And in the spirit of seven and six we revel the four
and rest the nickle till the six of seven hurries us
again to the nine...struggling toward the five
once more!!!.

(Paul.....GoodKnight....you made me do this)

Gee, Barry, my degree is in Finance and Accounting and my head was swimming a bit here.  Had to go back a couple of times. LOL

You are smoking Passions with your free verses.

Now if my muse would hear my call...maybe I could write something!
