I Just Don’t Know

Sitting here, wondering why
How come my parents always cry?
What have I done to hurt them so?
If only I could know.

Maybe it would be better if I weren’t here,
There would be a lot less tears.
Could it be the knives and pills?
That makes our lives bumpy like hills.

Or maybe it’s just me,
What else could it be?
I’m a horrible friend,
It’s got to be something I did.

I sit here and wonder,
As I’m falling under,
How the world would be
If there was know me.

All the pain would be gone,
As I’m withdrawn,
I wouldn’t cause anymore pain ,
Out of my own vein.

Ill stare into space
Trying to prove my case
Yet ill never win,
I’m just a sin.

How lucky I am to be cared about.
Then why do I feel so much doubt?
I have what I need,
And I know I can succeed
But whenever I fail,
I begin to hear their wail.
My parents sights,
The muffled cries.

Nothing I do is good enough for them,
This is the final stem.
My failure can’t be beat,
I no longer feel the heat.

I’m falling to my knees,
Just give me the key.
This is my final plea,
Would you miss me?

I pray to god ill be ok,
Just let me last one more day.
I wish I could die,
Then I wonder why.

Everything’s so great,
But then again, death is fate,
The medicines are no cure,
I am just a blur.

I’m so confused, so lost
I will stay alive at any cost.
Whatever it takes to do,
I will make it through.

I’m still sitting here wondering why,
Why do my parents cry,
But now I see,
Its just because I’m me.

parents have different stuff going on in their lives...as kids we don't understand this...but as I'm older now with a 15 year old of my own, I can look back and realize it...I try to tell her but she sees it her way, the eyes of a teenager.

Your parents may be hurt by what you do or what you think or say or feel...it's part of being parents...cheer up...it's not like this forever

Life ain't always so easy no matter what our age, and sometimes we ain't the one causing the grief.

Great write! Life can seem harsh at times I go through this a lot but in the end it turns out for the best. The things we go through strenghten us for the future and better prepare us for life on our own. If you ever need to talk just e-mail me. *HUGS* and I hope to see more of your work soon.
