Patricia ~ You can, and WILL, get past this. I'm not saying it's easy, because it's not! I have come from a state of complete and utter devastation--and desperation!--to not only just surviving, but THRIVING! I reinvented myself--and my life. I took courses that interested me--and met interesting women--and men!--who had the same interests! I started 2 businesses. Worked out 4 times a week and got myself back in shape. My self esteem rose. My daughters are so proud of my successes and how I pulled myself up by the boot straps. I prayed, I laughed, I got out more, kept myself active, and let go of my resentment and anger. I bless the good times in my marriage and have grown in strength from the ones that weren't so good! He now tells be that the best thing that he ever did, was to marry me, and that the worst thing he ever did, was leave me--but I have moved past all that and will never go back. I am strong, independent and am making a wonderful life for myself. If I can do it, I know that you can! Loving hugs, Linda |
