Sometimes I wonder why,
the last thing she asked me
was "what is your favorite color?"
She laughed, said "black?"

she thinks I've gone dark

And if only she knew,
what I wanted to tell her

I picture it sometimes, saying

No, it's the color that shines through the windows,
in the city at night.

The color that signals a warning- NOTICE ME IF YOU DARE
The eyes of the cat, during graveyard shift.
And the things so far away-
that we'd like to touch, but can't.

The line that seperates you from me.

It says "you misunderstand me"
You see the darkness, but I am the light
It's the color from the song you hate,
and the one you pretend to love.

But I only smilled and wispered

grey

I said I'm going to buy a gun and start a war,
If you can tell me something worth fighting for

Grey CAN be
that broad
and distant.

"the things so far away, that we'd like to touch, but can't"

drifting huh...the shift in colors do to the drift of frequency in light reflected tendds to add a layer of meaning to this piece... and a depth tothe words that let one apply the idea..regardless of your favorite color.. to their own life and circumstances.

you wrote some very nice lines in this and create some images that are quite impressive in the concise delivery yet vivid conveyance of a picture...

very nice work... nice indeed...

as for your favorite color.. blue of course... the color fo these pages

all cat's eyes are yellow, things far away, that we'd like to touch...Um stars, the color that shines through windows at night. This is about my friend, she acts different around other people. Ok, you win. You get a big, yellow smile

nono, I'm cheeky. I'm not a brat. If I was a brat, I;d do something like this

                            NEENER NEENER NEENER!!!!

Black,
The color of night
So associated with evil deeds
To where we take flight
When hiding fits our needs.

If she had said that to me
I would have replied
“why yes, till they find a darker color”

Hi Wind I absolutely love this....

my fav lines.....

The eyes of the cat, during graveyard shift.
And the things so far away-
that we'd like to touch, but can't.

The line that seperates you from me.

It says "you misunderstand me"
You see the darkness, but I am the light
It's the color from the song you hate,
and the one you pretend to love.

Nice to read you

I just read how you wrote this, and its amazing. how you stitched everything together, so perfectly and so un forced.

yellow submarine...it caaaant be her favourite song really can it?

so, your words were totally the opposite of how i interpreted them. i like that, but i like what they meant to me in my world too. so thanks for another day in the life of Liz.

no...she only pretends to like the beetles so she'll seem like she doesn't care about what people think of her. And the other song: she cant stand that one

mabe we're the insane ones. She doesn't hate the color yellow. She hates the song yellow. Or was that what you were saying. I like them both. Any color that ties my two favorite bands together is a good color
