Stay With Me….

Reside with me,
                              please, here,
                                                                  where thoughts

and feelings
                              are extolled
                                                                  while our way is found.

Here,
                               where love lines
                                                                  are drawn in sands

as time becomes

                               naught but fine lines

                                                                  around our eyes

as they crinkle
                               into our smiles.

Linger, a little longer,

                               in the arc of blue
                                                                  and trace with me, words,

where poetry
                               is side-swept in joy
                                                                  and tears are born,

where expectations are carved

                               in trees that wave

                                                                  to will us here

one more day.


Linger, love,
                               read the thinkers
                                                                  of our time

and feel their flood of blood

                                                                  dashing through our lines.

Oh my, Karilea. This is absolutely breathtaking. I did linger long on this verse, reading it several times.

I may have to slip away from time to time, but I will always find my way home...to the place where the poets dwell.

I think that your words will stay long after you've shed your earthly cloak my friend. I absolutely loved the wording to this one and the way the words flowed. The content is perfect in every way. It's a terrific write, although if I might add, I found the formatting to be a bit distracting when reading it.
