The Door
~ By Sue ~

Will there ever be
A love so sweet as what he gave
Or will I be too afraid
To even let it stay
If it should one day come
I think about this thing called love
And all of the pain it brought
I think I have had, more than enough
I tried it once or maybe twice
All I got was a broken heart
One that will never mend
Even though we are apart
The door to my heart is closed
I can't let anyone too close

But I do hope that one day your curiosity gets the best of you, and you crack that door open, just a tiny bit....enough to let new feelings take the place of the old pain!
Great write, Sue, and keep working on that door, ok?

I think once you've been hurt it's perfectly normal to leave that door closed for awhile,
the trick is to figure out when to open it again at the right time...James

Sue, oh I beg to differ. Your heart IS on the mend. It is just going through a healing period right now. I think that you gained many positive things through this "life lesson." Hang in there kiddo. hugs, Chris
