~*~
Tiny
wooden soldiers,
standing in
a row,
eyes staring
forward,
into the eyes
of foe.

Painted
tin-man soldiers,
with rifles
raised up high,
if you really listen,
you can hear
their battle
cry.

Little
toy soldiers,
are facing one
another,
as it is
with every war,
it's brother fighting
brother.

***

Some
are made from
wood,
some
are made from
tin,
but a soldier
is a soldier,
no matter
the uniform
he's in.
~*~

(big hugggsssssss) Something about toy soldiers has always disturbed me too, dearest friend, even if they are not real people it seems to turn boys into "men" like that and believe violence is acceptable! (sad sigh) I never liked toy soldiers, I loved playing mostly board games, Slinky, Mr. Potato Head and stuffed animals gently, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ahhhh from me.  You always make me do that!  Chelsea, my oldest daughter, isn't here today to do her ahhhh.  That kid loves you just as I do.  I always read your work aloud to her.  Soon, Macy, the four year old will get in on this too.  Right now she has way too much energy to sit still.

Hugs to you, EA.  Thanks for all of the encouragement you send my way!

"Ahhh" is such a wonderful reply in and of itself! You and Chelsea really add to my pleasure of writing.

Warm huggums to you, Chelsea & Macy. (Love their names!--and yours as well--for reasons I have mentioned before.
