she suddenly appeared at the baroom door the music was rockin vibratin the floor everybody standin round lookin for love rows of drunken eyes sizing her up she looked nothing like the weekend crew I approached her got myself introduced offered her a drink she didn't say no we started talkin and her innocence glowed build: We were drowning in the sea of sound music and laughter, voices all around the lights like water colors pouring down her eyes full of wonder her soul out of bounds chorus: Well, I never felt like that before Can't remember when I wanted love more I knew the night demons and how they decieve I wanted to save her from herself and for me..... Woo I never felt like that before. Can't remember when I wanted love more. She left with me to go back to my place I saw the jealousy form on the face of the victims of loneliness left behind patrons to the church of booze divine she was like a siren with virtue hid away like a genie from the lamp of forever escaped she talked like an angel weaving dream stories then smiled softly said I'd know in the morning build: I could feel the whole earth spin everywhere when I slipped into slumber stroking her hair When I awoke realized she wasn't there I knew she never had been but I didn't care Cause I never felt like that before can't remember when I wanted love more I knew the night demons and how they decieve I wanted to save her from herself and for me Wooo I never felt like that before Can't remember when I wanted love more....uuumm Never felt like that before......
