Forever I Shall Remember

It took me quite some time
But I then began to see
The past months I realised
You have no time for me

Torturing my own emotions
Feelings twist and turn
Why am I always yearning
You show me no concern

The happiest of memories
When all seemed fine
No matter what happened
We each found the time

Was I becoming paranoid
Unsetttled and unsure
I suppose love unrequited
I shall never find a cure

Sharing my heart with you
Caring without regret
Forever I shall remember
Pity you chose to forget

It's an awful feeling to be in the background of another. This is beautifully sad poem. Great write.
