“IF IT COULD BE”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
If I could play that sweet Guild right now,
I’d sing to myself a song or two,
play some of those sexy bluesy chords,
I’ll even sing one special just for you…
A song I know you’ve never heard before,
because I wrote it myself from within,
waiting to play it for someone special,
perhaps a waiting heart to let me in…
We could sit near the fire, or on the couch,
I’d strum soft chords and sing a melody,
of a blues man, and about lonely hearts,
dreamy it would be, for just you and me…
That’s exactly what I would do right now,
sing a song or two for just you and me,
there together sipping a glass of wine,
maybe wondering if it could, if it could be…
Bill, this is so beautiful...but it has so much hunger for true love in it. I hope that you will meet that special person just for you real soon!!
(smiles) Oh Bill, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I keep writing songs every week and I dream of having mine get heard! (sigh) I even have a cousin who can play excellent guitar and he wants to be my lead guitarist while he encourages me to be the singer and songwriter! (big hugggsssssss) I can't wait to hear your wonderful voice more and more, sweet friend, I miss hearing you sing your songs over the phone, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
Bill...I love the bluesy feel of this poem. Such yearning in the words like many of the blues songs. Beautifully written and beautifully expressed. ***Ivy Rose
smiling at this because I know this well
or knew it well
I used to sit for hours and listen
I do miss that
This was lovely
brought me right back
I think of all of your writings, you have definitely surpassed them all with this one.  Maybe it is because you love playing your guitar and expressing your inner feelings???????????????  Really very beautiful.
