This convoluted dance we do
just breaks my heart and makes me blue;
you walk away - I follow you
and track rewind won't see us through.

This dance of love, I waltz in pain
the go away and come again
I feel the hurt and sense the strain
I would stop now if I'd a brain

I care too much - you care too few
and I in hope will make things new;
yet still I drink this bitter brew
and dance in spirals of love's rue.

You dance away out of my reach
I seek you out, to love beseech,
you'd think I'd learned enough to teach
there is desire we should not breach.

When I abstain from sight of you
you seek me out; plead love is true
then I return to heart of you,
resume again this dance we do.

This convoluted dance will send
one message to the very end
we cannot part - must always tend
the dance of passion, not of friend.

Blow hot and cold like chimney's flue
in convolutions of we two
the go away - return to you
are symbols of the dance we do

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown
