Staring up into the night sky
Watching the stars, sparkling and shining
My eyes drift across the gemmed twilight
A gentle breeze finds its way to me
Kissing me as it joins me in watching the marvelous scene far above
I close my eyes, drifting into my subconscious
I remember that night
You and I, sitting on your porch
The essence of you filling my lungs
Your hair pulled back, dangling in its vibrant colors
I remember us talking, staring into the sky
I remember the magic
How happy it made me
How much I wish we could be there again
Maybe we will
Maybe we won’t
All I can do is sit here
And wish, wish as the sparkling point of light blazes across the sky
Wish upon that falling star
That my dream will come true

nicely written,,,

A voice of honesty
   is treasured
more than voices
   of flattery
