Thursday thoughts begin early
Too early for the sunrise
Too late for the moon

I mark those passings,
An X through a square,
Posted public
Wondering about that mark
You left on me
And if I O’d
Who would win

Turn to trekking

Wheels turn the whine
Of black roughed road
Into the morning symphony
To accompany the
French roast brew
I hope I don’t spill
And that I wish was Cappuccino
So I could add a richness
To the morning
I don’t feel.

Bend your mind
Becomes the mantra
Of workaday willfulness
Wrap it around abstract and simplified
Rules to run a business by…

And Thursday begs me
To touch another human’s skin
To be alive
To hope
Again

But Friday waits
With a wry smile
For every fool
And every week has it end
Thursday simply set the stage
For another one
To begin to end

Excellently done... I liked the "NOTS and CROSSES" in there just as much you are positive thinking of the future (Friday)...

Thanks for this...

maybe you should try raspberry tea...
makes your motor purrrr
and my moth mind goes in the strangest places..but when I read the title and saw you had posted another day of the week poem...I thought of the underware that has each day embroidered on it....
ROFL... dont say it.. I know.

All I can feel is this distance between you and me.
I can say I love you but I can't make you believe me
because touching is believing.

Ah wonderful write here Ron.
Yes..Thursday comes and we know we're headed for the home stretch, and maybe something exciting for Friday and Saturday.

Thursday is just another day to get through until Friday..but if you don't have something wonderful planned, the weekend is just another two days strung together. I surely am enjoying these thought provoking daily poems....

Reading through some of the other replies, I see that the piece I copied has a universal appeal,
"And Thursday begs me
To touch another human’s skin
To be alive
To hope
Again"

that touches me. Maybe not my skin, but my heart.

I'm barely out of Tuesday... Thursday's my favorite day, thanks.

Ah, Cap'n... I do love the thought paths your pen takes me onto. *S* Some weeks seem to never end... others fly by too quickly... those latter need more richness than cappucino, though. *G* Love this! *S*
