Listening to every heart

[On the Eve of] What Comes in Time

What came to me, in raucous times ago,
Were hues of blues to this poet's green eye,
That there be a place I would come to know
Where passions and poetry flew so high!

At times, seemingly lost, I thought I was
At bitter odds with my own cast-off ends
But that a muse should hear, then willed me "pause"
To unearth heart’s want, where soreness might mend

For this sweet craving I have had since youth
To convey a falling tears’ salty feel
In a place where poets gather, in truth
With a worldly family’s love, so real

What came in time, 'twas but a poet's dream
A place where hesitant hearts bared ~ in trust ~
What stayed in this mind?  A melody’s theme
With rhythm's delights, and an angel's dust

Where moths may flit over bards who might roar
While writers of angst, search seekers of truth
As mountains find peaked heights, lost souls hunt shores
As aged sages find their fountains of youth

What came in time, was a place most surreal
Where love plus life plus poets, equals Feel.

Very, very nice Karilea! I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I had consodered writing in an earlier incarnation.

(Or, how long I would have continued)

From the sun of our earth
From the stars of our night
From the soul of our essence
From the heaven's lights.

From these and more, so much more comes
our home to us,  here among stars..

You,  dear lady...are but one of them
that burns ever brightly here...

Karilea....you are one special lady and have encouraged me when I was down - I thankyou for that. Plus, your poetry always is a pleasure to read. You are a bright light on a dark and foggy pathway. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! hugs, Chris

Karilea,

Is that what keeps me coming back?

Lovely write dear lady.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Love pours out from your pen and beauty, always.
Thank you for touching me too with your sunrays ....
Four years? Over 36000 sunrays shared ... WOW!
It IS wonderful to stay among poets indeed. Also inspiring each other.

Your words stir beautiful feelings.

I cant imagine this place without you...
I hope we dont ever have to find out...
Youve penned a poets anthem with this superb write..and the moth is loving every alliteration and inner rhyme.
Happy Anniversary poetess Sun...
thank you for All that you share, teach and give here at pips and to me as friend.
You have touched so many here with your poetry and your loving spirit.
We grow in your light

All I can feel is this distance between you and me.
I can say I love you but I can't make you believe me
because touching is believing.
