where the wild flowers grow

I could shoot an arrow
through this dense air,
and still my words would not
get to you..

The sun sets in mild sky,
I watch for the lunar
eclipse..
And I've been
raped from head to toe my
body screams anguish, and
I already know what's going to be said..

Let's..
Go to the carnival and
sing the songs the carousel plays,
it's right by the cemetary..
where my old heart lay..
And we can ride white horses
untill dawn.

But my words will not scream
and I don't remember the songs..

Crushed velvet, the sky..
I let the canvas dry in
a set motion..
to display
that my words will never make
their way..
